Art Bell Award
The Art Bell Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional service to the MPWWA. It was named in honor of the late Arthur Bell, a founding member of the Association. The award recognizes the dedication to the aims and goals of the Association.
Art worked his way up to Supervisor, but never forgot where he started. He was a dirty hands, down in the trench" fellow who championed the cause of the operator. Serving on the Board of Directors until health no longer permitted, he was always an important asset to our meetings Never one to look for praise, it seems fitting that this award is presented to an individual who gives with no thought of recognition.
The Association could not exist without all the "foot soldiers" who work behind the scenes. The Association is based on operators helping to improve the plight of their fellow operators. This award truly recognizes this goal.
Award Criteria:
- Must be a Member, Associate Member or Commercial Member of the Association
- Demonstrated extraordinary service to the Association
- Dedicated to the aims and goals of the Association
- Gives with no thought of recognition
